Terri Schiavo's Father is Seriously Ill

Robert Schindler, Terri Schiavo's father, has had a stroke and is in a hospital intensive care unit. He is conscious. At present, the doctors are trying to stabilize his condition. Once that is done, he will be transferred to a rehabilitation center. His family, always a class act, is at his side and are hopeful for Bob's full recovery.

It's been a very tough couple of years for the Schindler family. Regardless of where one stands on the Terri Schiavo case, the Schindlers--Bob, Mary, Bobby, and Suzanne Vitadamo--deserve our best wishes and, for those of a mind, prayers, toward Bob's complete recovery and the family's well being in this difficult time.

Cards can be sent to:

That's horrid! Thank you for giving the addy out - the gent certainly needs support right now.

I have a friend who recently had a stroke (at the age of 39, no less - she was in a car wreck and the stroke was caused by a blood clot from a broken bone going to her brain). It's very hard for someone to be in that position. Young or old, it's so hard to get back your mobility and your speech, to try to get your body to cooperate with you...

He'll be in my prayers.

Thank you. The family has had it very tough the last several years. Any expression of support will be of help.

This is indeed sad news. I will definetly say prayers for Bob. He is such a kind hearted man. I hate to think of more stress for him and his family...they've been through enough. Please keep all posted. Thanks.
