Keeping Our Senses Of Humor in the Face of Swine Flu: A Matter of Human Exceptionalism

One of the great things about people is that we can find ways to find humor in almost all situations. Check out these photos of Mexicans wearing surgical masks due to the swine flu. I love the "in your face" quality to this. Also, how humans always find reasons to "do" art. Good for them!
Other photos available here, as published in the Telegraph.

See Wesley, a lot of my friends do read your blog!
I hear ya! Why are you trying to make it so easy for me to tell you where to go Victor? Give "IT" a rest, Please! :)
Victor: Where's my "Peace" salution? I want me peace salutation!
I give UP Wesley cause you're just too much for me!
We now visualize Victor throwing his hands UP holding a peace sign in each ONE of them.
God Bless
Oh, Mr. Smith honey, lookit what you did now...Bloody Mary sprayed all over my keyboard...a slice of lemon stuck up there on the screen...the celery stalk landed spang on the mouse...hee hee hee....
I particularly like this post, not only because of its humorous appeal, but because you use it as evidence for human exceptionalism. Since it's a philosophy that's quickly disintegrating, it's nice to be reminded why the human race is worth preserving. Although, now I may not watch "The Day the Earth Stood Still," even though I thought it looked good.
William: Thanks. I think Day is worth watching to see how deeply the misanthropy has spread. Anti humanism aside, it's an okay movie.
