This Blog considers assisted suicide/euthanasia, bioethics, human cloning, biotechnology, radical environmentalism, and the dangers of animal rights/liberation. I sometimes hear from people with serious illnesses telling me they are thinking about getting stem cell treatments from non reliable sources. I always urge them not to and be careful. Here is one reason why: A woman is being jailed for falsely promising to cure Lou Gehrig's disease with stem cells. Jail baby!

Although this is good instance of Stem Cell Quackery here in the USA, Stem Cell therapy for anoxic brain injured patients is going stong in China. A small network of anoxic brain injured patients have undergone stem cell therapy in China. Although the results have only gained small improvements in their medical condictions, these families are going back to China for repeated stem cell therputic treatments. The treatment is very expensive but right now is the best hope of anoxic brain injured patients recovering their cognitve abilites.
