This Blog considers assisted suicide/euthanasia, bioethics, human cloning, biotechnology, radical environmentalism, and the dangers of animal rights/liberation. My views expressed here, as in my books and other writings, reflect my understanding that the philosophy of human exceptionalism is the bedrock of universal human rights. Or, to put it another way: human life matters. (The opinions expressed here are my own and not necessarily those of any organization with which I am affiliated.)
Stay tuned. It will take me a little while to figure out the technology, but, with the help of my good friends at the Discovery Institute, I am hoping to have a weekly podcast up and running within a few weeks.

I am a Senior Fellow in Human Rights and Bioethics at the Discovery Institute and the author of 12 books, including A Rat Is A Pig Is A Dog Is A Boy, which is relevant to the issues considered by this blog.

Thanks for asking. I will try and limit it to the things we talk about here. I haven't figured it all out yet. I know I will do commentary. I may focus on "the story of the week." Or I may do a weekly wrap up that connects common elements of various stories we have discussed. At some point, I would like to interview people I think have interesting things to say, whether or not I agree with them. I was once a talk show host in LA (4th host on a 3 host station), and always loved the format.
Any ideas that y'all may have for the cast, I would love to hear them.

The advance directive I have signed is the Protective Medical Decisions Document (PMDD), put out in state specific formats by the International Task Force on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide. I have the Task Force linked at the site.
