Facing a Biased Media? Create Your Own
The Schindler Family has, quite rightly in my view, concluded that it is almost impossible to obtain fairness and accuracy--or at least both at the same time--about Terri's case and other issues such as Futile Care Theory and assisted suicide from the MSM. So, they are starting a weekly radio program in conjunction with Talk Radio WGUL 860 in Tampa (Salem Communications), also to be streamed on the Internet (here) beginning Saturday March 15 at 3 PM Eastern Time. The show, to be called America's Lifeline, will be co-hosted by heath care advocate Cary Hall, and Bobby Schindler and his sister Suzanne Vitadamo: From the press release:These are areas given far too short a shrift in the media even when the reporting is fair, and when they are discussed, the discourse is generally glancing and transitory. Let us wish America's Lifeline well and hope that it finds a large audience. With the help of expert guests, America's Lifeline will focus on:
- Controversial Cases Such as the Lauren Richardson Case
- Advanced Directives & Wills
- The health care rights of Americans
- Threats to the Disabled
- National Health Care
- Local & National Politics
- Home & Hospice Care
- Euthanasia
- Doctor Assisted Suicide
- Medical Futility & Artificial Care Laws
- State Federal Laws
- Ethics committees
- And much much more.

Tweet! You knew better than that Don. I have taken the post down. Please resend the first paragraph. Thank you.
Kudos! Glad to hear they found a solution to their inability to get heard. I wish them the best with this program and will post bullitins about it at my church, so that people who have internet access can follow along.
Guilty as charged. Sorry about that. Illegitmate segue, way off topic and topically out of bounds for SHS. I should know better.
I'm glad the Schindlers' show is coming on line. I think one of the reasons Teri and the Schindlers couldn't get accuracy and fairness is that the media was rooting for her demise to get back at the pro-lifers, republicans, GWB and etc. It was payback. Why else would they ignore all of those professionals who said she could be helped and improved? Many said they could think of people worse off than her whom they had helped. And why did they believe the words of a man about her wishes who had lived ten years and fathered two kids with another woman, and who stood to gain from her demise? Where was the wide spread reporting on that conflict of interest?
None of this was hard to find. It was all in plain view. I think Teri was an means to an end for many in the MSM.
Teri suffered what amounted to the longest state sanctioned execution of an innocent person as she was dehydrated to death. Her eyes cracked and cops were posted to make sure that her priest, Fr. Frank Pavone, did not put a drop of water on her parched and swollen tongue. While the cops looked over Pavone's shoulder, there were cut flowers soaking in several inches of water in a vase a few feet from Teri.
We need more shows like the Schindlers.
