Great News: Vermont Euthanizes Assisted Suicide
The Vermont House of Representatives just voted down the bill to legalize assisted suicide. The vote was 83-62. This is a real victory. Behind the scenes, it looked bleak for awhile. But here is a verite: The more people learn about assisted suicide, the less they tend to support it.
Hawaii and Vermont are down (for now): California yet to go.
Labels: Assisted Suicide.

This from a reader: "This caught my one good eye:
"Rep. William Aswad, D-Burlington, read a letter from a man who said he wished his family had had the option when his father died a painful death last year. The man urged Aswad to support the bill. "This letter cries out for
a `yes' vote," Aswad said."
It seems very telling that he spoke of the family having the option and not the patient. A friend voiced almost exactly the same thing last week. They have ot even gotten their legalized medical killing and they are already hungry for the next step."
