This Blog considers assisted suicide/euthanasia, bioethics, human cloning, biotechnology, radical environmentalism, and the dangers of animal rights/liberation. My views expressed here, as in my books and other writings, reflect my understanding that the philosophy of human exceptionalism is the bedrock of universal human rights. I have opined on the proposed chain of suicide clinics in Switzerland. This column demonstrates that the idea of death on demand is not restricted to the more radical members of the euthanasia movement but finds resonance among some bioethicists and self-described "free thinking" humanists. I read this article the other day and wrote a post about it...local suicide clinics in every neighborhood!
It's a sad day to see these people so direspect life.
